These light-weight, powerful and efficient paddles are designed primarily for high-angle paddling the blade connects smoothly with the water providing a very clean catch and a precise feel right through to the exit of each stroke. This blade packs plenty of power if you are looking for a surge of acceleration such as powering out through the surf. Shafts are subtly ovaled on both sides making them suitable for right handed or left handed paddlers. The level of indexing provides for maximised grip without interfering with rotation on your 'loose' hand side. The finish on the shaft is smooth but far from slippery, you won't feel that slight grab you get with some paddles and neither will you feel slippage as with high gloss finishes.

The VE Aircore Explorer models are supplied as a 2-piece adjustable paddle as standard. Just flip the metal lever-lock open and it takes seconds to adjust the length (up to 10cm), or the blade feather angle, without the need for tools. There are no pre-set click points so you can get exactly the length and angle that suite you within the available range. If the sea gets lively just shorten the shaft on the go for great high angle strokes and if it is gentle you can stretch it out and do some lower angle paddling to give your muscles a rest!

The Aircore Carbon shafts are stiffer than the VE Explorer Glass shafts. This makes them a good choice for paddlers looking for a precise feel and plenty of power in their strokes. The Aircore Explorer Glass shafts have a barely perceptible flex which some padlers find less fatiguing.

VE Paddles are made by hand in Britain using pre-preg carbon and fibreglass materials and hot compression moulded construction techniques.
