Feelfree Lure 11.5 V2 Overdrive
The Feelfree Lure 11.5 V2 Overdrive kayak offers paddle, pedal or motor power, excellent stability and a stunning range of features in a relatively compact package making it ideal for the serious kayak angling enthusiast. The Overdrive Pedal and Motor systems both offer forward and reverse power. These, combined with the Beavertail Rudder system, provide effortless manoeuvring so you can get to those perfect fishing spots trolling a lure as you pedal along or let the motor drive do the work while you relax and focus on the fishing. The adjustable Gravity Seating system will provide you with all day long comfort and the grippy stand-up pads give you the option of stand up or sit down fishing!
There are two flush mounted rod holders and Uni-Track accessory mounting tracks are fitted along the edge of the cockpit and the rear tankwell of the Feelfree Lure 11.5, these make mounting of accessories, such as additional rod holders, camera mounts etc, very easy with no need to drill holes in the kayak. The large bow hatch and rear cargo area provide plenty of storage space and there are side storage pockets in the cockpit for smaller items too. The Beavertail rudder system is controlled via the conveniently located '8-ball' steering lever. The main Drive and Rudder componants are manufactured from cast aluminium and finished off with heavy-duty components to ensure reliability. The wheel-in-the-keel makes it easy to move the kayak over firm surfaces so is ideal for slipway launches although we recommend a trolley like the C-Tug for longer distances or softer or uneven surfaces.
As the name suggests the Lure series are designed to be the ultimate ‘lure’ fishing kayaks, and will also be a huge success with ‘fly’ anglers who prefer to stand up when casting a fly. It is so stable, you can literally jump up and down on this craft, so playing a big pike on light fly gear will be no problem. For the freshwater angler the Feelfree Lure opens up huge possibilities and will allow you to explore reed beds and fish areas that were previously unreachable by foot or boat. The wide and stable hull is well suited to inland flatwater environments although it does well on estuaries and sheltered coastal waters in the right conditions.
OverDrive Pedal System
The OverDrive pedal system has a spring assisted lifter/deployment mechanism so is easy to lift clear of the hull when in shallow water. The drive system comes in a hard carry/storage case, it takes only a minute or so to fit or remove from the kayak. The Gravity seat system is height adjustable to allow for pedallers of different sizes to find the optimum pedalling position. The OverDrive features a weedless prop for great performance even in shallow vegetated waters.
