The Hobie Passport 10.5 R offers all the benefits of the Mirage Drive pedal system with kick-up fins in a simplified kayak at fantastic price point. The Passport 10.5 R is a compact and nimble kayak designed for recreational paddling, touring and fishing on inland waters and sheltered costal locations too. Simply plug in the Mirage Drive and pedal away! At 10.5ft long the Passport is ideal for adults, teenagers and even great for younger children looking to take their first steps into kayak angling on gentle waters. The hull is stable, tracks well in a straight line and has a hand operated rudder to help with steering. The Passport is great for general touring and cruising as well as for a spot of fishing on calm waters. There are a couple of flush mount rod holders to the rear of the seat so you can troll a lure as you paddle or just take your rods out to a good place to fish. Two slide-tracks within easy reach either side can be used to mount various accessories including fishing rod holders, camera booms or even a fish finder.

The Passport 10.5 R is equipped with a Mirage Drive GT with Kick Up Fins. The pedal crank arms are adjustable to allow for users of various heights to use the Passport. One or both of the Kick Up Fins will automatically fold back should you strike an object beneath the water - this greatly reduces the chance of damaging your fins. They will automatically drop down into place again once past the obstruction so you can keep on paddling. The Passport comes with an aluminium framed mesh seat with tilt adjustment for a comfortable pedalling experience. The seat can also be quickly removed and used as a beach chair or for some sit down fishing on a riverbank.

The Passport has a hand operated rudder system for steering the kayak whilst pedalling. The rudder is manually deployed and hauled when launching and landing and is controlled using the steering handle beside the seat. The system uses a push-pull rod design for direct control and ease of maintenance and tuning. There are several storage areas on the kayak including bow and stern storage areas with bungees and a 8in Twist-N-Seal hatch located in front of the seat. Other features include carry handles at the bow, stern and sides, and a vertical accessory tube just in front of the drive for optional accessories such as the Sail Kit and Bimini (sunshade).
