Compact Sea Kayak with Moderate Rocker and high stability

The best-selling P&H Sea Kayak with a well deserved reputation that is a joy to paddle in a wide range of conditions. Virgos are available in Corelite X or the Single Layer Whitewater-grade MZ3 Plastic and in three volumes so you can get just the right one for you! Ranging from 429 to 457cm the Virgos are a compact high performing kayak ideal for coastal exploration, rock play, surf and with enough storage for a few nights away. The confidence inspiring stability, precise response to control input and ease of rolling makes the Virgo a great choice for paddlers of all levels.

CoreLite X is an advanced sandwich layer construction which provides greater stiffness in a lighter-weight construction which brings the performance closer to that of a composite boat. The Corelite X Virgo Kayaks feature the mini-hatch deck storage pod (snack hatch) just in front of the cockpit.  

The single layer MZ3 construction has been tried and tested in Pyranha whitewater kayaks and offers high impact and scratch resistance at a readily affordable price point. MZ3 Virgo Kayaks do not have the deck storage pod. 

 You will find the hull offers reassuring stability and provides plenty of speed and efficiency for short to medium trips. The moderate rocker, along with carving rails and nicely designed chines, provides an instant response to your control input. This makes the Virgo an ideal choice for exploring varied coastline environments whether that is on glass flat days or challenging complex waters.

Their compact length and performance oriented design makes the Virgo a great boat for rock play and surfing on beach waves. The rear deck is low-profile for easy rolling and re-entry while the forward deck has enough volume and up-sweep to power over oncoming waves and minimise purling when riding waves or just launching / landing through surf.

P&H's highly-adjustable and reliable Connect outfitting provides day long comfort and great connectivity with the hull. On the well outfitted deck there are bulkheaded bow and stern main hatches with KajakSport hatch covers for secure storage and a reliable seal. Other details include a recess for a Silva 70P Compass, split paddle recesses, a drop-forged, anodised aluminium security point, a paddle park, and a full complement of deck lines and bungees.

As standard, The P&H Virgo Corlite LV/MV models are outfitted with 3 hatches (Bow, Stern & Mini). The HV version of the Virgo is outfitted with 4 hatches (Bow, Stern, Day & Mini). The P&H Virgo MZ3 LV/MV does not come with a Day Hatch.
