The covered deck helps to keep the paddler drier and warmer and reduces windage compared to an open deck inflatable. There are deck bungees to store on the water essentials and zipped access through the deck cover at the bow and stern making it easy to securely stow any kit inside away from the elements. A spray deck can also be fitted if required. With a reinforced hull and stable design the Swing 1 performs well for touring trips on calm waters and is manoeuvrable enough to handle gentle whitewater.

At 11.2kg the Swing 1 is easy to carry which makes portaging from one lake to the next, or past a canal lock system, a breeze! There are rigid reinforcements in the bow and stern as well as an inflatable floor beam which makes this a more rigid kayak than most inflatables. The comfortable seat has a firm backrest which provides impressive support while paddling. The hull is designed to track well in a straight line and a detachable fin is also included to enhance the straight line paddling if needed. The optional spray deck fits securely round the cockpit opening and will keep spray, rain and cold winds at bay and will really enhance comfort on chilly days. 

Like all kayaks in the Gumotex range this kayak deflates and packs down into a relatively small bag for transportation. This means you can store it securely inside your van, car boot or boat ready to be inflated in just a few minutes as and when needed.
