The design of the Wildfire dates back to the 'Fire' Series conceived back in the early 1990’s. The Wildfire is a 14 foot hull with a moderate rocker of 2.5 inches at each end. When edged this hull has a rapid response and effortless tight turns. The shallow arched hull-shape provides reassuring stability which is ideal for novice or progressing pasddlers.

For its length this is a surprisingly fast cruiser that works well on calm open water and the nicely flared bow helps to deflect small waves in choppier conditions which it handles very well too. Once you get the feel of its handling characteristics you will find that the stable hull with great manoeuvrability behaves well in smaller deep water rapids. The seat hanging system is designed so that it can be easily customised by anyone with basic DIY skills. This allows precise adjustments to be made to suit different paddler's needs and preferred paddling position.

The outfitting of the Swift Canoes is considered to rank highly and sits amongst the best available. Build for strength and lightness Swift designers pay careful consideration as to the materials and design of their boats to ensure the very best results in design and construction. The Carbon/Kevlar gunnels are extremely light, yet durable and are infused into the hulls Kevlar Fusion material for superior strength. The Kevlar Fusion hull is popular due to its high strength to weight ratio, providing great abrasion and impact resistance for a composite open canoe. The Wildfire is available in the two-tone colourway - either Emerald or Ruby over Champagne, which provides a smart look, and the Champagne coloured hull makes it harder to see scratches or character marks that the underside may pick up during it’s time on the water.
