The Werner Ovation aims to provide the ultimate performance in gentle water touring. The design and construction of the Ovation is all about lightness and efficiency in order to achieve a paddling experience that is as close to effortless as possible. Even the drip rings are custom made for the paddle - small sized and light-weight for the kind of paddling where every gram counts.

The smooth back face and thinner edges of the blade allow for a quiet catch and effortless exit of the stroke. The narrow blades exert less rotational torque through the shaft than more traditional wider blades, combined with the relatively straight edges this provides a very precise feel in the water. Together these features provide efficient power transfer and have a significant impact on reducing fatigue during long hours afloat.

The Smart View adjustable join is the most simple, precise fitting on the market providing the solid precise feel of a 1-piece paddle and nothing to snag your gear. It takes only a few seconds to adjust the feather so is ideal if you are paddling in changeable conditions. 

Werner are quite clear that the brief for this paddle is focused on ultra-light therefore it is not as tough as the paddles in their more rugged premium range such as the Camano or Shuna. If you like the idea of an ultra-light paddle then it makes sense to have both an Ovation and a tougher paddle on board so you can switch between them as conditions / scenarios dictate. An embroidered fleece paddle bag is provided with each paddle to help protect it during transport or storage.
