Adjustable Bent Shaft Canoe Paddles

Named after the Churchill River which runs through the Canadian Shield, this paddle has a length adjustable shaft and a slender blade with a squared off tip that provides a gentle catch and smooth draw. It is ideal for higher cadence paddling particularly of loaded boats. Werner's fibreglass blades are renowned for their combination of stiffness with a light swing weight and great abrasion and impact resistance.

The Churchill is designed to perform on both river and open water trips. The longer, slender design is easier on the body with a more gentle catch enabling you to maintain an easy touring pace all day long or ramp it up for your fitness paddles too! The dihedral blade has a ridge down the middle of the power face which provides for smooth and stable forward paddling. There is a 10 degree shaft to blade offset to keep the blade more vertical through the power phase while still allowing smooth turning and control strokes.

The Palm Grip is manufactured using highly impact resistant ABS plastic and has smooth gentle curves for a comfortable ergonomic feel that gives precise control.
