Even with its 11ft length, the Heron 11XT is still an easy kayak to handle both on and off the water. The Old Town Heron 11 XT has been designed with ease of use in mind. Its hull design offers confidence inspiring stability, and its generous cockpit size makes entering and exiting the kayak that much easier. The Heron 11XT is an ideal option for those wanting to paddle a sit-in kayak, without feeling enclosed! The padded Comfort Flex seat of the Heron 11XT offers plenty of adjustability, and provides great back support whether you are drifting along fishing or heading off for a paddling trip. Two flush mount rod holders are located either side within easy reach behind the cockpit. You could troll a lure as you paddle your Heron 11XT or stow your paddle in the handy paddle park and reach round for your rod and cast into a likely looking sport as you gently drift along a lazy river.
Those wanting to bring some extra kit with them will welcome the rear Quick-Seal hatch, which offers plenty of additional storage space. The storage space also features a bulkhead, separating it from the main cockpit area. This helps to keep your kit dry, and also creates a buoyant/sealed area.
