VE Paddles are made by hand in Britain using pre-preg carbon and fibreglass materials and hot compression moulded construction techniques.

The Explorer paddles are light-weight, powerful and efficient. Designed primarily for high-angle paddling the versatile design connects smoothly with the water providing a very clean catch and a precise feel right through to the exit of each stroke. Shafts are subtly ovaled on both sides making them suitable for right handed or left handed paddlers. The level of indexing provides for maximised grip without interfering with rotation on your 'loose' hand side. The finish on the shafts is smoth but far from slippery, you won't feel that slight grab you get with a matt finish neither will you feel slippage as with high gloss finishes.

Both of the Explorer models are supplied as a 2-piece adjustable paddle as standard. Just flip the metal lever-lock open and it takes seconds to adjust the length (up to 10cm), or the blade feather angle, without the need for tools. There are no pre-set click points so you can get exactly the length and angle that suite you within the 210-220 range. If the sea gets lively just shorten the shaft on the go for great high angle strokes and if it is gentle you can stretch it out and do some lower angle paddling to give your muscles a rest!

The straight carbon shaft is stiff providing excellent power transfer, this makes them a good choice for paddlers looking for a precise feel and plenty of power in their strokes. The straight glass shaft offers a little bit of flex this is is barely perceptible yet can help to reduce fatigue over long distances, these paddles are great for recreational paddling or those wanting to cover more distance.

Both of these builds are tough and durable. VE Glass construction has 30% more glass than the market leader and is claimed to be the strongest most durable blade on the market!
