Scanstrut Waterproof Cable Seals

Waterproof cable glands are a great way to run the wiring from a fish finder, or other powered device, through the hull of your kayak. The cables sit within a rubber seal and prevent water getting through to the inside of your hull. These Scanstrut cable seals have a tough plastic construction and are super easy to install. Full instructions are provided.

There are 3 sizes that will suit a wide range of uses on a kayak. Simply measure the width of the connector on the end of your cabling and choose the appropriate size cable seal. Cable seals are supplied with pre-drilled rubber inserts for certain cable sizes, however there is also a blank rubber insert that you can drill to suit, incase the supplied pre-drilled inserts are too big.

If you are only needing to pass a power cable with bare ends through the hull, then choose the DS16 size. If you need to pass a transdcuer cable through, then measure the connector and choose the suitable size. If you need to run both the power and transdcuer cable through the hull, we would recommend using the DS30 size as this has plenty of room on the blank rubber insert to take both cables.
