Dyno Boulding Pad by DMM
The third offering in DMM's trio is the Dyno, featuring a 'Taco' stle fold instead of a hinge. This pad also has a three layer sandwhich of foam, although since the pad folds rather than hinges the high density foam has to be a little thinner. Other features are simular to the Highball Pad, a comfortable removeable rucksack style carrying system, alloy buckles and a carpet spaure for cleaning rockshoes on. Highball Boulding Pad by DMM
The Highball is a stiff webbing hinged mat of very generous proportions. It is filled with three layers of foam forming a sandwhich of two layers of high density foam around a central layer of conventional open cell. The adventages are that the tougher high density layers spread the force of the landing climber on the top side and also helps lessen the effects of uneven ground/rocks on the underside. A comfortable rucksack style carrying system complete with waistbelt can be quickly changed to an over the shoulder style arrangment. The closure flaps are secured with aliminum buckles. The closure flaps help secure items you might want to carry inside your folded pad and prevent them faling out! Two rubber moulded carrying handles are ideal for moving the pad when in situ or for carrying as a 'suitcase'. Extra loops and straps are provided to clip and secure an additional bag etc on the outside when carrying. Also provided is a carpet square to clean your rockshoes before you start. The Spot is a small mat designed to act as a starter mat or as extra protection on a particularly nasty landing. It is filled with one layer of firm high density foam, has a generous and secure velcro closure system and a comfortable shoulder carrying trap.
