Easky 15 by Venture Kayaks

The Easky 15 has been paddled by us in varying conditions and Kayaks & Paddles Ltd is able to fully recommend this kayak.
Easky 15 covers a range of paddling from Recreational through Day Touring, Weekending and beyond. Easky 15 has a fine entry bow and a chined hull and responds very well to being edged. Lift your left knee and the boat goes left, lift your right knee and the boat goes right. Easky 15 has the best retractable skeg in its class, in fact the skeg is too good and needs trimming up to find the best combination. Minimal weather cocking in a quartering sea which is easily cancelled by edging and deploying the retractable skeg. Full skeg makes the boat difficult to turn and its position has a greater effect than a drop down skeg fitted in the stern. Good footrest, good cockpit configuration, stiff cockpit rim combine to make this a tiptop touring kayak. Easky is quick for a 15 footer and the paddler in the images is 6' 1" and 15 stone. Smaller paddlers would get a similar response from the hull as a larger paddler.
