North Shore Atlantic RM Sea Kayak

The Northshore Atlantic RM is the plastic version of the Atlantic composite kayaks. The Atlantic RM has been developed from these classics in a single skin layup and keeps the same blend of speed, resposiveness and predictability as you would expect due to the Northshore atlantics hull. It has the perfect combination of shallow V and soft chines. The North shore atlantic RM has large front and rear storage hatches and a handy day hatch. This sea kayak is an excellent choice for anyone looking for their first sea boat and wants to progress their sea kayaking skills. It also makes a great second boat to go alongside your composite if you like to go rock hopping. The Atlantic RM is a confidence inspiring yet playful sea kayak, it can do it all availabel in two sizes for a better fit. The Rotomoulded Atlantics have a composite tube that runs the 3/4 length on the hull, this tube is pre bent so when it is placed into the hull and sealed bulkheads & seat are fitted, it forces the hull out. This preasure ensures you get very little flex along the boats length and over time stops the hull from flatting or concaving in, which you get with other single skin sea kayaks. Another great design feature is the bulkheads. Normally bulkheads are made from Mini Cell foam, but North Shore use rotomoulded bulkheads so they become buoyancy blocks. Then they are fixed in by bolts and silcone sealed in.
