Malibu Kayak's newest kayak to come to the UK is the X-13, a 13′ 10″ fishing kayak. The Malibu Kayaks X13 has a unique front Gator hatch, that will take a child. The Gator hatch comes fitted with two rod holders, elasticated cord storage area, is hinged at the bow and is removeable if desired. The front storage area underneath is sealed off from the rest of the kayak and has a scupper hole so it can be used as a fish hold to keep your catch fresh!. Plug the scupper and it becomes a dryish! storage area. The X 13 has a large rectangular centre hatch which gives you ample room to stow tackle and rods. The X 13's large tank well has the trademark round bucket recess as well as 6 small recesses for mounting additional rod holders, enough for all your fishing rods & net!!!. There is plenty of storage room, elasticated cord to keep things in place and an optional 4" access hatch for wiring lights and a rudder if desired. Nicely squared sides fit in with Malibu’s idea of giving the owner flat surfaces for numerous rigging options.

The hull of the Malibu Kayaks X13 has a pronounced keel throughout which will increase tracking and glide speed. Slight rocker will give better control coming into land in surf area's. Overall, this boat looks fast, dry, and stable with ample room for tackle. The X13 has 8 rod holders (I'm sure, more than enough!?!).
