Riptide 40 12-Volt Salt Water Canoe or boating Motor.
The Minn Kota Riptide range of electric outboard motors is designed for use in salt water. The Riptide 40 transom mount salt water motor provides 40-lbs of thrust, ideal for propelling an open canoe or similar craft. Riptide motor components are deep cleaned, anodised or coated with zinc dichromate before an e-coat epoxy is applied. The motor is assembled with stainless steel fasteners and a sacrificial anode is mounted on the motor. The strong, composite shaft is designed to flex on impact and the propeller design pushes weed away without draining power. The Tilt Twist Tiller control makes it easy to control the 5 forward speeds and 3 reverse speeds. The result is a salt water motor that carries a 3-year warranty.
